Names Of 12 FDNY Members Added To WTC Memorial Wall

Twelve names were added to the World Trade Center Memorial Wall in a solemn ceremony Friday.

They’re members of the FDNY who died of illnesses related to their work at the World Trade Center site during the aftermath of the September 11th attacks.

Fire Commissioner Salvatore Cassano said that although the wall pays tribute to the fallen, it is also a reminder of one of the most painful days in the department’s history.
