Congress focuses on firefighter healthcare while 9/11 survivor fights on
WASHINGTON (Gray DC) — Lawmakers, like New York Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), who played a large part in passing the 9/11 health care bill, were back on Capitol Hill Tuesday pushing for the Firefighter Cancer Registry Act. A bill that would allow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to keep track of firefighters who get cancer and learn more about the disease.
