9/11 first responder, ex-NYC police officer Daniel O’Shea seeks kidney donor due to degenerative disease
WOODBURY – A Sept. 11 first responder and former New York City police officer from Floral Park is suffering from a rare kidney disease and looking for a donor.
Daniel O’Shea spent months at Ground Zero for search and rescue operations after the terror attacks on the World Trade Center back in 2001. O’Shea was diagnosed in 2003 with a degenerative kidney disease that has no known cure. His doctors say it’s linked to his work on the pile.
