The Fealgood Foundation and Flagler Emergency Services have announced a special fund raising campaign www.FlaglerEmergencyServices.com

The Fealgood Foundation, based in Nesconset, NY, has a primary mission of assisting first responders and other individuals who have been injured, physically or mentally, as a direct result of their rescue, recovery and clean-up efforts at the World Trade Center site following the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.

The secondary mission of the Fealgood Foundation is to assist emergency personnel, including firefighters, police officers, nurses, volunteers and others within the United States that have been injured in the course of their everyday duties.

The Fealgood Foundation was launched in 2005 by its founder John Feal and to this date has donated over $1.6 million through the missions and to those affected by the 9/11 tragedy.

An ancillary mission is to educate elected officials and private organization officers of the dangers and problems facing first responders as they fulfill their assigned responsibilities.

To assist the Fealgood Foundation with their efforts, Flagler Emergency Services has developed a special sales program in association with the sales of its Flagler Hydrant Shower System.

The Flagler Hydrant Shower System is a unique system that allows any standard fire hydrant to be turned into an immediate mass victim decontamination, cleaning or cooling shower. The system, originally designed for first responders, is now also in use by a number of hospitals and “at risk” facilities. Had the Flagler Hydrant Shower System been available in 2001, they could have been put into operation around the disaster site, thereby providing a fast, convenient way to wash much of the hazardous dust from the first responders and the general public caught in the area.

Flagler Emergency Services will donate to the Fealgood Foundation an amount equal to 10% of all direct client sales of the Flagler Hydrant Shower Systems.

This program will be in effect until April 2, 2013.
