9/11 Health Bill Faces Last Chance in Congress

New York City firefighters affected by health problems from the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks gather outside the Capitol Hill state office of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Ky., in Washington, Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015. With many of the firefighters and police officers suffering from pulmonary diseases and cancers, they want permanent extension of a law that provides medical monitoring and treatment for first responders who were exposed to toxins when the World Trade Center was destroyed.
